District 3

About District 3

“I hope to meet you on your doorstop as I continue to walk our neighborhoods. We need a leader on city council who can fight to protect and improve the quality of life that we enjoy. I promise to be that council person.” – Will Brennan

The neighborhoods that makeup City Council District 3 surround one of the most visited entertainment destinations in the Midlands. We are no longer a sleepy collection of residential neighborhoods tucked around local shopping areas. We are a central destination and market hub for students and visitors to the Midlands. Our neighborhoods are impacted by the policies and needs of the operations of major installations like Ft. Jackson, the VA Hospital, Midlands Tech and USC. The spin-off development activities influenced by these organizations attract hotels, shopping centers, apartment complexes and traffic. Together these bring new pressures to bear on our communities and we need new ideas and leadership to address them.
